Day 1: Lima
Day 2: Lima/Iquitos
The day begins very early to catch our flight to Iquitos and transfer to the Amazon Riverboat. Once on board the ship, relax and soak in the natural beauty of the wild rainforest. Step out on deck to watch the riverbanks go by, and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as grey and pink dolphins.
Expert guides will lead jungle walks, give lectures, and point out unique species of bird and marine life as you explore the smaller tributaries of the river.

This tour requires an Average level of fitness. Activities are paced gently and include leisure time. You may be expected to join guided walks of up to one hour, navigate short stairways and mild inclines, and manage your own luggage. I would have to share with them the bizarre experience we had on our boat of a single man and a single woman forced to stay in the same cabin until we emailed G Adventures to complain. We had no WIFI so that took two days. As a single woman traveler the refusal by Robinson to remedy this situation was absolutely unbelievable. We had a single female traveler willing to share her room and be refunded for the private room so that the gentleman would be in a room of his own. they refused to even discuss any solution. I was told it was none of my business. Everyone one the boat was disturbed by this situation and it could have easily been solved. the problem began in G Adventures reservations where a married couple with the same last name, booked at the same time and paid for at the same time were separated and put in with the two single travelers. they were immediately put together in one of the cabins where they should have been all along and the two single travelers were told they had to share as there were no more cabins. Even writing this I feel the dismay I did then. I never dreamed anything like this could happen. Unacceptable on oh so many levels and it was totally awkward for everyone on the boat until it was finally resolved.

There was misinformation in the original planning restating an extra day in Lima resulting in 2 extra days.

We had an absolutely incredible time. Lots of wildlife. Lovely crew and extremely knowledgeable, passionate guides. The accommodation was great as was the food. couldn't believe how remote it felt (in a very good way).

The trip was well organized and the deck crew was very friendly and all questions or concerns were quickly addressed. The naturalists were well versed and went over and beyond to ensure we were well informed on what we where locating.
