It's been said that during the second millennium, a third of Europe's most important artists lived in Florence. After checking in to your hotel, join your leader for an orientation walk of Florence, then the rest of your evening is free to explore at your own pace. This tour of Italy was wonderful! Our leader, Lucrezia, did an outstanding job introducing us to each new site we visited and supporting our enjoyment of the included activities. There was a nice balance of structured activities and free time to explore. The itinerary was quite full and at-times fast-paced. We enjoyed the hikes and bike ride very much. All hotels were clean and comfortable and train travel was enjoyable overall. Plan on a lot of walking - which allows you to see so much. Thank you so much for a great travel experience.
