Itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek
There are no planned activities until an evening welcome meeting.
Day 2: Windhoek/Ghanzi
Then while the day comes to an end, enjoy the warm hospitality of the San Bushmen as the group will be staying at the G Adventures-supported Dqae Qare San Lodge & Camp. The best part? You are making a difference in the lives of this community just by enjoying your time at camp. So sit back, allow yourself to become immersed in their history and culture, sit around the fire, and simply enjoy the moment.
Continue through the eastern part of Namibia and cross into Botswana before travelling into the heart of the Kalahari.
Arrive in the late afternoon and camp in the Ghanzi area.
Day 3: Ghanzi to Maun
Travel along the northern portions of the Kalahari Desert throughout the day – this is a severely arid and barren landscape, though very beautiful.
After arrival in Maun, the biggest town in the Okavango Delta area, pick up any supplies needed and prepare for the journey into the Okavango Delta.
Choose to prebook a scenic helicopter ride through the Delta during your free time in Maun.
Day 4: Okavango Delta
The excursion begins with a drive in customized safari vehicles for about 1-2 hrs to the "dock" to board a mokoro (canoe) that takes us deep into the delta. After a 1-2 hrs in the mokoro, arrive to the camp.
In the evening, watch a traditional dance performance.
Day 5: Okavango Delta/Nata
Travel to Nata. Opt for a sunset wildlife safari drive or bush walk in the area. Watch elephants drink from the camp's watering hole at night.
Day 6: Nata/Kasane
Travel to Kasane outside the gates of Chobe National Park, home to the largest elephant population in Southern Africa.
Opt to pre-book a Chobe River Sunset Cruise on the checkout page, or through your Global Connection Officer or travel agent.
Day 7: Kasane/Victoria Falls
Cross the border to enter into Zimbabwe and continue on to Victoria Falls, arriving in the early afternoon. This is a great base to see natural wonders and take part in some adventure activities.
Opt to get up close (and wet from the spray) while visiting the immense Victoria Falls, raft the whitewater of the mighty Zambezi, or, for the more adventurous, bungee jump with Victoria Falls in view.

Great CEO, group and itinerary

We had a fabulous and memorable experience. The CEO was incredibly helpful and informative.

I enjoyed the trip, I had a good guide and very amicable travel companions, made good friends, I got to experience different cultures and saw first hand the big impact my traveling makes to the local community we visited along the trip. I got to see the beauty of Africa in just a week's time. Given a chance I would do it again as it was worth spending Christmas on this trip. Never encountered any problems on the road or even borders. Our ground pilot Steven got us to every destination safe, sound and on time while our CEO Vitalis also kept us informed all the time and provided sound advice when called upon, embraced any challenge.

The value, the quality of guides (I've only had one bad experience with a CEO), the regions they travel to and the different durations and styles of travel.

Great customer service - great tours - wonderful CEOs

The trip was very good with some room for improvement. Joining in Windhoek was not ideal as meant 2 days of boring long hours in bus, with not much scenery worth watching. Would have been better to join in Botswana. Also joining a tightly knit group that had been together already for several week, was not ideal, and we were made to feel like outsiders by some. There was too much 'for our own costs', after already paying a lot of money for this trip for South Africans, plus some of the accommodation was below standard eg in Windhoek, and Ghanzi. The CEO Arthur was excellent and the trip was well organized.

I didn't think it was worth the price

Because it always depends on the people and if they are nice people going and it is out of your hands who joins. We thought we had a good group to start with but as it progressed, human nature being what it is, we found that they were not as nice as we thought they were.

The trip itself was amazing and the delivery of the trip in Africa from Arthur and Peter was incredible. The pre trip communication and understanding from staff was hard work and didn't feel I was listened to very well.

G Adventures gave us the opportunity to visit wonderful countries and have amazing opportunities, but with so much ease and the hassle removed. We had the most incredible CEO in Wellington and everything was just seamless.
