Experience Overview
Though they formed some 75 million years ago, there’s no time like the present to pay the Canadian Rockies a visit.
Though they formed some 75 million years ago, there’s no time like the present to pay the Canadian Rockies a visit. Over the course of this seven-day adventure, you’ll travel up and down the Icefields Parkway and see all the natural highlights the Rockies have to offer: impossibly blue lakes, rushing glacial waterfalls and maybe even a classically Canadian critter or two. Breathe in views of Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and Peyto Lake, cruise along Maligne Lake for a view of enchanting Spirit Island, walk along Athabasca Glacier, and get a birds-eye view of Banff from the top of Sulphur Mountain. If those peaks weren’t enough, there’s also the chance to pique your curiosity during a guided Indigenous Medicine walk of Banff National Park. Why wait to see it any longer?
Highlights
- See the Athabasca Glacier up close and personal during a walk on an arm of the Columbia Icefield, an experience that will feel other-worldly.
- Cruise on the magical Maligne Lake, soaking up the mountain views as you navigate to the iconic – and culturally significant – Spirit Island.
- Soak up traditional knowledge about Banff’s flora and fauna on an Indigenous Medicine Walk around the national park.
- Find yourself in a fairytale at Moraine Lake, with its deep blue surface surrounded by towering mountain peaks.
- Finish your adventure at the top of Sulphur Mountain, having a restaurant dinner with an unbeatable and unforgettable view of the Rockies.

I enjoyed this well-organized tour with key highlights along Newfoundland's Eastern coast and Gros Morne National Park in the West. In early June, we experienced persistent sea fog along the coast. When the sun peaked through one afternoon it was glorious! Highlights for me were seeing puffins in Elliston and experiencing the ecosystem and views of the Skerwink Trail, a challenging hike near Trinity. Sadly, we did not see any icebergs. They were well north of Twillingate. I recommend planning to arrive a day or two before the tour begins, if you're traveling at this time of year due to the dense fog which can delay flights into St. John's.

A busy week with an exceptional and personable guide. Mike Brown did all he could to make our experience in yellowstone and the grand tetons a lifetime experience. We were very happy, if exhausted by the tour.
