The trip was excellent, especially the visiting of Bandipur and Chitwan National Park. However the long travel times by bus are a negative component of the overall experience: at the moment I don't think that Nepal is a safe and cost-effective country to travel on tyres as the road conditions are extremely challenging due to the extensive roadworks.

An excellent introduction to Nepal. Just be aware that the journey times are much longer than stated in the itinerary due to the dreadful conditions of the roads (not Intrepid’s fault). Great variety of places visited and lots to see. Could do with an extra day in Chitwan NP.

I enjoyed Classic Nepal & had fun

Great trip for anyone. Hotel quality is excellent. The guide is really good, knowledgeable and friendly. There is not a huge amount of strenuous activity but decent amount of walking on some days (manageable enough for someone recovering from Achilles surgery). You spend a good amount of time in each place but different people on the group wanted to spend an extra day in different places. For me I would have liked a day less in Bandipur and more in Chitwan. The first car journey is very tough due to bad roads.

What a fantastic way to see Nepal! Great variety of experiences, ticking off all the must see's and do's. Great Acommodation, food and the most amazing local Guide. Small group travel at it's best. Thank you Intrepid..... will be recommending and repeating :)

A fantastic tour in Nepal has changed the way I like to travel now!! I have really enjoyed the trip as not only do you have great company but all the planning is done for you and relieves the stress from travelling solo. There is so much to learn from the local tour leaders, and fellow travellers.

This trip was a great way to see the wide range of landscapes and cultures that Nepal has to offer. The organisation was great and our group leader, Amit, was excellent.

My trip to Nepal with Intrepid was fantastic. It fulfilled a new experience in a new country and the inside knowledge of its people and culture. It was well planned to the last detail, the hotels and my Nepalese guide were both fantastic.

The trip to Nepal was my first Intrepid trip and I couldn't have been more pleased. We had a wonderful guide who provided extensive information about the culture, history, current affairs, and geography of the area. I felt safe and well taken care of, enjoyed the group, and had a fantastic time. Nepal is a fascinating country with a rich cultural history, unique location in the world, and a breathtaking landscape. It's well worth visiting, especially with Intrepid Travel.

My first Intrepid tour and what an adventure! Joined a great crowd (just 7 of us) with a fantastic leader. In the packed 9 days we really got to experience so much of what Nepal has to offer from seeing the sun rise over the Himalayas to watching a new born rhino following its mother. Each day revealed new sights and experiences as each location offered its unique charm. And all for a very reasonable cost.

Had a lovely tour of classic Nepal. Our tour leader Amit explained everything we were doing the previous night and on the start of the next day. He Had a lovely smile and infectious laugh. All the hotels were beautiful and staff excellent. I've done many guided tours as I travel solo and the small group we had which was 7 of us was fantastic as we all got on well, we had plenty of space on the mini bus and not crammed in on some tours I've been on. No one was late on the instructions that was given to us on meeting times. The people of Nepal don't have much but their smiles says it all. All good.

Nepal is a fascinating country to explore and this trip hits a good variety with plenty of downtime. The food and accommodations were great. This is my second intrepid trip and if you are solo and on the fence - take the plunge! Within a short time it feels like you are traveling with a group of fiends from around the globe and getting an insider experience of a place. I got a roommate on this trip and that ended up adding to the experience- she was great.
