Itinerary
Day 1: Bogotá: An Immersion into Colombia
Arrive to Bogotá at any time and transfer to your hotel. Meet your fellow group members at the welcome meeting in the evening and get all the important information about the adventure ahead. Afterwards, head to a nearby restaurant for a delicious welcome dinner with new friends.
Day 2: Bogotá: Coffee, Living History and Art
Set off to explore Bogotá today with a local expert and, later, on your own. The morning begins with a coffee tasting demonstration featuring authentic Colombian brew, followed by a walking tour of the charming La Candelaria neighborhood—a must-see for any culture or history lover. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a lively local restaurant before taking a free afternoon to visit museums or take a cable car ride up Monserrate Hill.
Day 3: Medellín: The City of Eternal Spring
Fly to Medellín and transfer to Parque Arví—an ecological nature preserve and archaeological site on the eastern slopes of Aburrá Valley. Spend time hiking along the trails to various viewpoints of the city below. Sit down for lunch at a typical restaurant within the park before transferring to your hotel in the city.
Day 4: Medellín: Bicycle Exploration and Culinary Traditions
Begin the morning with an e-bike tour of downtown Medellín led by a local guide to uncover history, art, and legends. Sample Paisa cuisine during an included lunch at a speciality restaurant focusing on preserving long standing culinary traditions. Later, visit the Comuna 13 neighbourhood on a private tour before a free evening at your leisure.
Day 5: Guatapé: Your OMG Day
Travel by private vehicle to Los Saltos Ecoparque and start your day of adventure with a moderate hike to El Salto del Buey waterfall. Then, choose between two adrenaline-inducing guided activities within the park. Both options include a delicious lunch with a view. Continue on to your lakeside accommodations in Guatapé. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure.
Day 6: Guatapé: El Peñol Rock and Local Charm
Climb El Peñol rock for impressive views of Guatapé. Follow this up with a walking tour around town with your CEO. Be on the lookout for colourful frescoes along the way, and choose from a variety of great local restaurants for lunch. Transfer back to your OMG Stay property to spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel, or choose from some of the optional activities available like a boat trip on the lake.
Day 7: Barú: Caribbean Paradise
Travel back from Guatapé to Medllín and board a flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival, the group will transfer to Barú, an island paradise along the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy lunch at the hotel with views of the inviting white sand and aquamarine water, then set off on an orientation beach walk with your CEO before a free afternoon in paradise to relax, or take part in some optional water activities.
Day 8: Barú: Boat Excursion to the Rosario Islands
Get out on the water with a private boat trip off the coast of Barú. Visit the Rosario Islands for snorkelling and swimming in paradise. Enjoy a free afternoon and evening at your leisure, with lunch and dinner included at the hotel.

We have done many G Adventures but this was our first Geluxe style tour. The trip still retains some of the typical G Adventure elements that test your fitness and get the adrenaline pumping contrasted with 4-5 star accommodations. The Brown Hotel- Guatape' was indeed OMG!

Very nice trip and introduction to Colombia that should have been 2 more days so certain parts did not feel so abbreviated. Activity level for some participants was too much and others not enough. A couple days where we could sleep in past 4 or 6 or 8 am would have made the trip feel more relaxing. Logistics were well organized for the most part.

Wounderful!

Glad I had the chance to try the Deluxe trips but I don't think I would go on another one. Not sure if the accommodations and activities were as described! On a very positive note - the food was OUTSTANDING! What a nice surprise. On the other hand, I've always said that the other passengers can make or break your trip. I've been really lucky in the past and have travelled with some outstanding people that I still keep in touch with. One of my concerns doing a Deluxe trip was that it would attract different passengers - and it did. This doesn't reflect badly on G but I don't know that I would ever choose to travel this style as the passengers clearly didn't understand "adventure travel" or activity levels, or what goes into a trip that moves around.

A beautiful country with lots to do and see - which we experienced in a very rushed and poorly organized itinerary.

The trip was great. Columbia is an interesting, less discovered country. There’s lots to see culturally, historically, and physically. It was my first G-trip, and if Rafael was an example of your CEOs, you have an outstanding formula. An extra feature is that the people who chose to take this kin of trip seem to be similarly like-minded individuals. Everyone was open minded and patient. The kind of people you love to travel with. The OMG visit was too short.

A fantastic tour to experience a good slice of Columbia! Especially good if this is your first time in Colombia, with a great mix of city and beach, with lots of included activities that you would want to do. Rafael was one of the best CEOs we have had on our many G Adventures tours.

Best tour leader was Aaron, very down to earth and professional and accommodating. All activities were quite good, maybe a bit pricey for location but it's a vacation and expect premium prices. Like a la carte activity choice and flexibility depending on the day and weather and energy level. Will do another G Adventures tour.

Ship crew and naturalists tried to their best to make our experiences for the best. We are satisfied with the whole trip.

G Adventures small group traveling was outstanding. We could get places that large coach trips could not. And we got to know each other so well. Everything was quicker and easier. Imagine a group of 8 versus 30! We will only travel small group from now on out.
