FAQs
- London: Travelling to (and through) the UK & Northern Ireland? You’ll need Essential Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)From January 8, 2025, UK law means that if you’re entering/transiting through border control in the United Kingdom (UK) and Northern Ireland you’ll need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before you travel. Confused? Don’t be – just read on here.
- London: What currency do I need? For this trip, we recommend that you carry the British Pound, Euro, Czech Koruna, Swiss Franc. (It’s a coin collector's dream!)
- London: How do I know when to book tickets for non-included attractions in Amsterdam? This trip includes plenty of interesting Free Time Add-Ons in Amsterdam. So if you’re planning to do any other activity, and looking to book in advance - it’s best to book your tickets between 12-3PM. Of course, you can always book any other time (we’re all about freedom to explore!). But make sure you don’t miss the other activities, or a coach transfer to the accommodation!
- London: Who will I room with if I book additional nights before my trip? You'll stay in a Twin share room (meaning you'll be paired with a fellow traveller of the same gender, and will have two separate beds). If you're booking your trip with a friend/travel companion - just let us know, so we can join your bookings and ensure you share a room. Need a lil' more privacy? You're welcome to opt for a single supplement if you like.
Included Experience
- Amsterdam: Dive into the vibrant world of STRAAT, Amsterdam's street art and graffiti museum. You'll see artworks (showcasing the epic untold stories and hidden meanings) from over 180 global artists housed in a massive warehouse.
- Berlin: Get your culture on. It’s time to see Tiergarten, Alexanderplatz, the Russian War Memorial, Brandenburg Gate and the historic Reichstag building.
- Berlin: Heads up culture vultures. Here’s your chance to check out the longest open-air gallery in the world.
- Dresden: See the Baroque architecture that was rebuilt after the WWII bombings. Royal Residence, Zwinger Palace, Opera House and Frauenkirche.
- Prague: Walk through the winding cobbled streets and head up into the fairytale-like Castle District for panoramic city views.
- Prague: See the bright lights and church spires from a totally new perspective. Ships ahoy!
- Salzburg: Marvel at one of Europe's largest medieval castles, perched high on the hill over Salzburg. Like something out of the Sound of Music.
- Venice: Speed across the lagoon to the aqueous island of Venice.
- Venice: Life’s all about the waterways here; there’s not an Uber in sight! Get some classic pics of the famous gondola boats.
- Rome: Stroll around the Italian capital, ticking off some sights on your bucket list!
- Baschi: We'll head to the rocky (but so picturesque) village of Baschi to visit Casale Polegri. Stroll around the vineyards and olive orchards on a short tour of the azienda agricola. We'll learn about the farming techniques used by the Polegri Family to harvest their fresh plants and fruit. We'll end the afternoon with a crunchy bruschetta topped with homemade extra virgin olive oil, focaccia bread with homegrown rosemary and vegetables. And of course, some risotto or pasta. All of this with a glass of their homemade wine and dessert. Happy tummy, happy life!
- Florence: See the Duomo, Basilica Santa Croce, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery & Piazza della Signoria on a locally guided walking tour of Florence.
- Pisa: Your ultimate chance to ‘hold the tower up’ as you pose for that classic Insta snap.
- Cinque Terre National Park: We’ll take care of your rail pass, so you can just zip around the iconic clifftop villages and focus on the Insta stories. Wanna hike around too? You're welcome to explore on foot along the way.
- Lucerne: Check out the Wooden Chapel Bridge and the giant sandstone Lion Monument.
- Paris: Take a dreamy jaunt around the city of romance. Fall in love with landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Champs-Élysées and Notre-Dame Cathedral.
- Paris: Your chance to learn the art of fragrance at a Parisian perfume house. You know it makes scents! (soz).

For a first time trip to Europe, it was amazing to get a taster of so many locations. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough and that I had to go home and leave behind such incredible people. Overall the booking experience was very easy.

Our tour guide made our trip feel more like he was on it with us rather than he was doing a job which made the trip extremely enjoyable! The social aspect was something I was worried might overwhelm me but there was a great mix of socialising and being able to have your own space and free time. Everything felt flexible and optional and I felt like I was never locked in to do anything that didn’t interest me. Having a driver, who major about out to Mickey for doing an incredible job, was so great to know I didn’t have to worry about transportation and getting lost. It felt like the whole trip was planned great and it was so dun to share it with people I never met but ended up getting to know and loving by the end of it all. I feel like everyone needs to do a Contiki at some point in their life! Big shout out to for being an incredible tour guide and to for doing an incredible job driving us around! Felt safe the whole trip and they both displayed professionalism and also joined in on the banter to a level which everyone was comfortable with. 10/10 would love to travel with them both again!

Absolutely amazing and beautiful experience. contiki staff rock.

Our trip was great. We visited lots of places, made great friends and had fun. The feedback id like to give is regarding hotel locations- often times our hotel/hostel was located about 20-45 mins by car away from the shops/city centre. This drastically affected our accessibility to nightlife and experiences we wanted because we were needing to pay an expensive uber there and back. We missed out on a lot because of this, which was pretty disappointing. Our trip manager also put her best effort in but didn’t make much effort to connect with us all personally and seemed unenthusiastic most of the time.

The trip was amazing. The destinations and schedule were well thought out and planned. Some of the FTA were not so great however no regrets in doing them all. The group was awesome and have created some life long friends. The trip manager was well educated and informative and our driver made us all feel very safe. 10/10 would do another contiki! The contiki cough is a real thing.. take antibiotics with you!

I enjoyed the trip overall and the crew were amazing. The only downside was that some of the add ons were a bit misleading on the Contiki itinerary. I would’ve liked more info on the specific tours/activities so I could’ve been more informed about the add-ons I was opting in to. I booked with a travel agent, but it was fairly easy!

The best 16 days of my life! and were amazing, they were fun and entertaining whilst maintaining their professionalism. And they really looked after me when I got too drunk in Prague. The days were well structured so we got the most of every city, the history lessons were both informative and interesting.

Trip was amazing!! Our trip manager was so so great!! And our driver was awesome as well! I enjoyed every moment! It was the perfect balance of history, facts, fun, partying, exploring! The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is just because it is so rushed! Which made people forget and loose things but absolutely everything else I couldn’t fault it was the best!!! We booked via the chat on website and everyone we spoke to was so lovely and helpful.
