Customer Reviews

international groups, like-minded travelers, good balance between organized activities and free time, different types of trips for different people, frequent departures (very important for people like me who have holidays at fixed times throughout the year)

Few reasons - 1. I was travelling with a friend and requested separate sleeping arrangements and that didn't happen. We were often sharing a bed. 2. The excursion costs weren't clear and seemingly contingent on number of people committing. Also, not always the best price. 3. Dinner suggestion - we were sent to a restaurant that didn't exist. I did an Alaska trip previously with G Adventures and gave it a hands down 10.

Unlike some other tours which may be excellent in their way, I never felt ?herded? or treated as a child. At the same time, if I needed advice or help if any kind, it was always immediately available.

Enjoyable tour. Very good tour guide. Great tour group. Some of the hotels were below standard. Some problems with the tour buses.

Depends on the place. Had great experience in the past but my most recent tour was significantly older (average age was 60+ and I'm 29) and the tour guide didn't care

The tour guide was always going to quickly even though I kept reminding her when she say it was a 10 minute walk I said is that for a 20 year old or a 90 year old because the walk with end up taking like half an hour or more. She lost/left me behind on at least three occasions. She did not give us accurate information. She told us about museums we could go to. I spent 20 minutes walking to the museum only to find out it had closed half an hour before. She failed to give us options. For example, we walked like half hour into a town to show us where things were then was walking us back to the hotel to register when I finally caught up to her and stopped her I said do I have to go back to the hotel now and then walk back 20 minutes to get to the same place, she said oh no, you can check in later. But she didn't give anybody else that option, and nobody else thought to ask her so I was the only one that didn't have to repeat a walk. But she constantly said things were a five minute walk and they'd be a 20 minute walk. Constantly asked her to slow down and she?d speed back up again. She had to remember she?s in her 20s we?re in our 60s and 70s and 80s. Right from the start, she knew I had a broken suitcase so I couldn't pull it quickly(Egypt air had badly damaged at the week before) she still walked full speed ahead she wasn't pulling a suitcase. The rest of us were and again left me behind thank goodness I'm an experienced traveler, and I just kept trucking and eventually somebody in the group, so they were missing somebody and she stopped. At the we made our own lunch. The chef talked way too much and waste of the time where I might?ve made it to the museum. She was a really sweet girl and she tried her best, but I think she is very inexperienced. Another couple on the trip has travelled with you 16 times and they said it was the worst one they'd ever been on and said that I should not give up on you from this one bad experience. I did enjoy having a little more time to my self between things, and knowing that I could book more things if I wanted to, but more than once she didn't give me the right information about the hotel when I asked if they had a pool- she said not & they'did. didn't like the restaurants she kept taking us 2-all seafood(I don't like)& expensive-Last 1only good 1-did she get free meals out of it? Never saw her pay for one.

The CEO was GREAT, knowledgeable, and very professional. The daily activities were well planned and very interesting. I would have never found them on my own so I appreciate someone else knowing the 'highlights' of each specific location. The hotel choices were the only component that I thought could have been better.
