Day 1: Lisbon
If visiting the historic district of Belém is on your bucket list, we recommend arriving early on this day to explore its major sites like the Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower. Most attractions in Belém are closed on Mondays.
Day 2: Lisbon
Opt to take a day trip into the foothills of the surrounding mountains to Sintra. Get lost in the city's winding streets lined with pastel coloured houses, palaces, majestic gardens and lush forests. It doesn't get more postcard-worthy than this.
Day 3: Lisbon/Coimbra
Day 4: Coimbra
Day 5: Coimbra/Porto
Day 6: Porto
Head down Allies Avenue to see the French-inspired buildings. Bargain at the Bolhão Market. Wander the city's World Heritage-listed Ribeira district, visit São Francisco church, the palatial former 19th-century stock market Palácio de Bolsa or head to the Clerigos Tower for a panoramic view of the city.
In the evening, become an Port wine connoisseur with a visit to the cellars and a port wine tasting.

When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout the tour. You will need to carry your own bags between the vehicle and your hotel room. Drivers will assist with loading and unloading luggage from the vehicle.

This tour requires an Average level of fitness. Activities are paced gently and include leisure time. You may be expected to join guided walks of up to one hour, navigate short stairways and mild inclines, and manage your own luggage. You should also be able to board and exit all transport without assistance.

This style of travel is generally easy to acclimate to, but is not for everyone. The social aspect of small groups is a lovely benefit. It can sometimes impose an odd dynamic on free time, though.

It was a good trip, I enjoyed it a lot and the guide was amazing. I liked Portugal and I am very glad that I went, but I wasn't completely sold on the country when I was there.

It takes care of the logistics of transport and accommodation and you can then choose how to spend your time in each of those destinations. It also allows you to either do your own thing or have fellow travellers to share the experience with
