Day 1: Puerto de la Cruz
Located off the coast of northwestern Africa the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago, are an Atlantic gem of white sand beaches, turquoise waters, rugged volcanic coastlines and lush mountains. Formed by volcanic eruptions millions of years past, Tenerife, the largest of the islands, is shadowed by the Mount Teide volcano.

Continue to the coast and watch the landscape change as we follow the Atlantic cliffs and a drier climate to the village of Chinamada. When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. It was a good trip and great scenery, was different than I expected for a travel company. The last time I travelled with a company the optional excursions were brought up by the leader and organized by the company if we wanted to go ie transport (and we just paid the cost that day) there was no mention of the optional excursions at all. After the main itinerary was completed for the day
