Travel from the heady heights of the Andes to the exotic lowlands of the Amazon on this journey through the best of Peru. - Explore Cusco – South America's oldest continuously inhabited city. The city has ancient foundations, an interesting blend of Incan and international influences, and seemingly endless things to do and see.
- Adjust to the altitude with a cheeky pisco sour and maybe some ceviche – what better way to adjust to the heights than getting to know the local Peruvian cuisine?
- Travel through the Sacred Valley, known for its steep and soaring scenery, its mystical significance for the Inca and the Indigenous cultures that still reside here.
- Explore the greatest icon of ancient South America and one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Machu Picchu – on a guided tour.
- Experience the untouched, evergreen splendour of the Amazon Jungle. Explore rainforest trails with a local guide, looking out for monkeys, parrots and medicinal plants, then fall asleep in a lodge lit by candles and kerosene lamps.

I booked the Inca trail through intrepid as recommended by a family friend. I would now also advise anyone who is thinking of taking an adventure holiday to book through intrepid. Going forward this will be the company of my choice. The guides are amazing and knowledgeable. The trips and accommodation are great. I would highly recommend.

Highly recommended trip. Nice combination of nature exploring, history, anthropology, social studies of local people and customs. Great staff from Intrepid travel, from porters to cooks to guides. All questions promptly answered. They are ready for any emergencies (altitude sickness, fever... ).

We had the most wonderful tour leaders in Kleberth and Victor . The Quarry trail was challenging, fun , adventurous and the food was incredible. We loved the company and the guides. Highly recommend the first part of this tour . But extremely disappointed in the Amazon . No wildlife and accommodation was terrible . Not to Intrepid’s standards . Thanks Todd

The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was amazing! Such a challenging hike, but so worthwhile. Our fearless Intrepid guide Kleberth was so knowledgeable and helpful! He’s an incredible leader and made the trip so much more memorable. It’s a journey of a lifetime and I’d highly recommend!

A most amazing trip. Not easy but views were outstanding and the history of the track and the Incas was amazing. Organisation was faultless and knowledge and assistance of team guide was superb. Would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Had my phone stolen less than 4 hours into my 12 day trip due to Intrepid making us take unsafe bus transportation to Lima. Intrepid, please pop for the $5, safe, taxi or uber ride for your next group tour. Best trip, turned into worsed trip!

This trip was everything I could have wished for. The leader/guide Saret was brilliant and the group gelled well. We were kept informed of what we were doing daily and taken to places that other tour companies would not have taken you. Ie to local business and homes where meals were provided by them and allowing us to see how they produced their products (silk weaving). Well done Intrepid

What a trip! Like many people, Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list. I was a bit nervous about the difficulty of the Inca Trail, but with proper training, anyone can do it. Luiz our guide on the Inca Trail was amazing and ensured we were comfortable throughout the entire trek. He also taught us a lot about the trail and the Incas which was a bonus. Armando (our trip leader) and Leonor were also amazing guides and you can just see the passion they have for their country. The Amazon jungle was a nice way to end the trip and we got to explore and see a lot of wildlife. I highly recommend this trip for anyone looking to check Machu Picchu/Inca Trail off their bucket list!

An amazing trip to Peru, Inca trail was simply amazing. Our guides Bobby and Joel were truly inspiring and kept us all going each day to finish the trail. The porters and cooks were also the most hardworking and happy people and kept us very well fed and carried our loads. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. Our Amazon jungle guide, Roldan was also very good and informative and he took us on the most amazing night hike through the jungle.

This was an incredible trip. I travelled alone but had no reason to be nervous. The trip was very well organised. The accomodation was excellent. The guides in Lima, on the Inca Trail and Jungle were fantastic. They had extensive knowledge and were very professional. They were friendly, approachable and ensured that each part of the trip was flawless and thoroughly enjoyable. The Inca Trail was very challenging, but the reward of reaching Machu Picchu on day 4 made the effort worthwhile. I highly recommend this trip. It was my first holiday with Intrepid, but won't be my last.

This trip was excellent. I was the only one who took the Quarry Trail option and I had a wonderful time. The staff treated me so well and I learned a ton about the local people of Peru. I would recommend this trip!

We don't normally use the tour company for our holidays, but decided to go with Intrepid to do the Inca Trail. The local knowledge of the guides was amazing and brought everything to life. They were also very helpful and supportive. They organised all the accommodation and transport, which removed a lot of the stress and worry. They chose excellent restaurants, but they were more expensive than usual, due to the fact they didn't want us to get ill. They supplied all the water we needed.

This was an amazing trip. Being older and not so fit, we wondered about making it to Machu Picchu but the leader Juan Carlos made it possible. You have to be there to experience the beauty of Machu Picchu. Photos don’t do justice.

I have really loved my Peru tour. It was my first time going to a country where English was not a primary language. It was so helpful to have the logistics sorted by I terpid and just enjoy my time aboard.

The trip was fantastic the guides Paola, Paul and Cesar were amazing and were very informative. The trek was challenging but the views were amazing. Make sure you pack for all seasons, it rained and snowed but the sun came out on the last day for an amazing view of Machu Picchu.
