Itinerary

1

Day 1: Arrival Day

Welcome to Lombok! Enjoy the afternoon by the pool before dinner & drinks with your group.
2

Day 2: Sasak Village & Waterfalls

Start the day off by immersing ourselves in the local customs and cultures of Lombok at the Sasak Village. Follow along as our local guides explain about village life and the traditional weaving techniques handed down from generation to generation. Next, we check out 3 of Lombok's scenic waterfalls only accessible by jungle trek.
3

Day 3: Lombok Beach Day

Pack some sunscreen and a towel as today we will visit some of the most pristine beaches Lombok has to offer. Set off to 2 different locations along the southern coastline where we will enjoy white sandy beaches, friendly locals and a chance to top up that tan.
4

Day 4: Travel to Sumbawa

Pack your bags! Today we travel by bus and ferry to our next location, Sumbawa Island. Check in to our beach front bungalows and enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the beach or next to the pool.
5

Day 5: Moyo Island Day Trip

Set off on a day trip to the almost uninhabited island of Moyo. Here we will take a ride into the heart of the island where our local guides will show us the hidden gems nestled within the jungle with a chance to swim in the beautiful and untouched waterfalls of Moyo. Enjoy lunch on the beach before boarding the boat back home, catching the sunset along the way.
6

Day 6: Satonda Island

Today we head off on our very own Liveaboard boat, an amazing Tru Exclusive. We will be on a converted traditional wooden boat which has been transformed for this journey of a lifetime! Sharing a dorm style room on the top deck, and having traditional style showers it's a Truly backpacking experience you won't get anywhere else! The first part of our voyage has us stopping off at Satonda Island, grab your snorkel and mask and take a dip in the salt lake crater. The unspoiled marine life is out of this world. We have a delicious local dinner sitting on the deck as the sun goes down. Beer in hand, it's been a sick first day at sea. Get ready to sail through the night as we carry on the adventure to the next destinations!
7

Day 7: Komodo Island Hopping

Wake up, breathe in the fresh air of the Komodo National Park and admire one of the most beautiful sunrises you are ever likely to see. Kick back and watch the islands float past as you eat your breakfast. We're sailing to Manta Point, a once in a lifetime opportunity to snorkel amongst the gentle giants. Manta Point is home to families of manta rays although intimidating in size they really are harmless, humble giants. We'll be visiting Pink Beach. Yeah it's really pink! Before we trek up to the stunning viewpoint on Padar Island for sunset. It really is out of this world. Before heading back to the boat for a cold beer, a moment you'll never forget with your TruFam.
8

Day 8: Komodo Dragons

Take a step back in time as you enter the Jurassic world of the Komodos. Here we are greeted by our local guides who inhabit the island before setting off in search of these prehistoric creatures. Take an educational tour of 1 of only 4 islands these creatures inhabit. Our journey then continues east as our time aboard draws to a close. Say our farewells to the Capt & Crew before checking in to our beautiful resort in Labuan Bajo, Flores. Enjoy a farewell dinner and drinks with the group.
9

My 5th tour! After doing Bali experience last year I knew I wanted to come back and see more of Indonesia. I have spent the last 12 weeks travelling south east Asia, joining many ntours along the way. This was my final tour and it was great. I really enjoyed the time on Lombok, and highlights for me would be padar island at sunrise, swimming with giant manta rays and seeing the Komodo dragons. It would have been nice to see a bit more of sumbowa… and didn’t really see the point in stopping on satonda island, but that maybe is again a personal opinion. I also didn’t enjoy the boat trip the first night was extremely rocky and I suffer with sea sickness, I also felt there was a lot of time spent travelling on the boat and not a huge amount of time actually spent seeing the islands. It would have maybe been nice to spend more time on them then at sea. Oner and monk were great tour guides always ensuring everyone was ok and having a good time. Always checking if people needed help. It wouldn’t have been the same without them :)
