Day 1: Male/South Malé Atoll

The shallow islands and plentiful coral reefs make it a key feeding ground for many species of tropical fish. 70 different species of colourful corals make up the flora of this underwater city, with more than 700 species of fish and other marine life making up its fauna. Snorkelling is one of the simplest ways to experience this impressive underwater world.Free_time - Relax on the beach, go for a swim, have a cocktail, or read a book. The afternoon is yours to enjoy.
Day 2-6: South Malé Atoll/Felidhu Atholhu
Aboard the dhoni, spend free time as you please – lounge on the sundecks and take in the views, relax with a good book, or socialize with fellow travellers as you enjoy delicious local seafood.
Off the boat, opt to swim and enjoy snorkelling about twice a day amongst the spectacular marine life of the Maldives. The shallow islands and amazing coral reefs make it a key feeding ground for many species of tropical fish. Keep an eye out for turtles, reef sharks, stingrays, and octopuses.
Cruise to the southernmost point of South Malé Atoll before crossing the channel into Felidhu Atoll. The main industry here is fishing and there is typically an opportunity to see traditional boat-building on at least one of the islands.

When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. Could have been given more information about daily excursions, ship location and flora and fauna.

The CEO gave us little to no information about the culture, basic greetings or sayings in the local language or about the way of living, he did not formally introduce us to the rest of the crew and was very disengaged the entire trip. From the outset at the airport there was no-one to greet us (other passengers reported the same). There was no safety briefing on board throughout the entire trip. In addition the trip itinerary is out of date, very open to being flexible to weather conditions etc but the local island visits consisted of taking us to a local convenience store and there was no drum performance ...time to update information please! In addition I emailed to ask if wifi would be available onboard, was told yes, but it was not. Had I known I would have purchased a SIM card prior to the tour

The accommodation and transport are taken of in unfamiliar places. A knowledgeable CEO and local guides share plenty of historical and cultural information that you might not learn when travelling independently. And you are thrown together with a group of travellers that you get to share many new experiences with, some of which become lifelong friends.

There was no safety briefing when we got on the boat, what if there was an emergency?! We had no introduction to the crew. The CEO was completely disconnected, to the point where it was perceived we were making his life difficult. The itinerary was not up to date, we were not collected at the correct time as the CEO was late. Communication in general regarding our daily plan was almost non-existent.

Everything was so easy thanks to the organisation and the guide etc which made it more relaxing and enjoyable. We had a fantastic guide (High) and all the crew were amazing and created such wonderful experiences for us to make our trip extra special!

I've now done around 6 tours with G Adventures and have experienced no major problems - good itineraries, good range of different options and enjoy someone else arranging my travel and experiences. Have always enjoyed the tours.

I really enjoyed the trip and it was more or less as promised in the trip notes. The accommodation exceeded my expectations as did the food. Everything was included with no 'optional'excursions incurring additional fees making the pricing very clear.
