This food trip delivered on all levels! The local markets that we visited and the cooking classes we attended were first class and a fantastic way to fully immerse ourselves in the local food culture! The Mexico Food Adventure is an excellent trip for those who want to dive deeply into traditional Mexican foods/cooking. It is an active tour with lots of walking, often at high elevation. You explore markets, sample foods, and participate in cooking classes. If you're lucky enough to have Ana Hernandez as your guide, you will have a trip not only filled with food, but also Mexican architecture, history, and geology and you will come away with a deeper appreciation of this complex and fascinating country.

This is a fantastic trip. I am so glad I booked it. I want to do it again. And our guide Nathan did a fantastic job!!!

The tour was excellent. The leader (Ana Paula) was informative, engaging and approachable. The activities we did were excellent - in particular the cooking classes, the boat trip (which was optional), the lucha libre match and the trip to Hierve el Agua in Oaxaca. Most importantly the food was fantastic. We would recommend this tour!

Food is one of the best ways to immerse in a culture and this trip is a wonderful survey of central Mexican cuisine. This is NOT a parade of tourist traps. Rather, I felt I got to experience the cities we visited and truly sample what they had to offer with our guide's recommendations and local knowledge.

This has been a great introduction into a large and exiciting country. Of course you won't see everything but I do recommend to spend extra time in Mexico City and maybe extend few days at the beach as well. Our tour lead Karla has been excellent and made sure we were constantly fed delicious Mexican food. :)

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip especially the included excursions & the cookery classes. However the final destination & its hotel were very disappointing. The journey to the destination was the least enjoyable of the wholde trip, the destination not Mexican & the hotel was disorganised & dirty. However, the final cookery class was superb and a highlight of the whole holiday.

Kei Komori was an excellent guide her knowledge of Mexican culture along with her excellent people skills made the trip very enjoyable for all of us. She provided us with endless information on our "free" moments, and was highly organized to make our trip flawless!

This was an excellent trip introducing us to the amazing food culture of Mexico and in addition a number of historical sights. Our guide was excellent and a wonderful person. The included dinners could have been budgeted a bit higher to include 3 courses and a glass of wine/beer.

We had an excellent holiday on this trip. Sampling a variety of interesting local.foods, activities we could not have found without our fun and knowledgeable guide.

I would give our Mexican Food Tour adventure five stars and fully recommend it. Ana, our tour leader was exceptional- friendly, knowledgeable, inclusive, enthusiastic, and very competent. She introduced us to many typical Mexican foods, as well as the history and culture of the country. Thank you, Ana.

Guide Ana is the soul of this trip. Her enthusiasm for the food and people of Mexico are palpable. She shows a GREAT slice of the country and covers a good range of eats. There is one long ride to the end. Worth it.

Mixed bag, could have been better. Difficulties, being Christmas week, many things closed, everywhere VERY crowded. Trip leader not well prepared for this. Missed some promised foods and activities. Lots of tacos. Drank mezcal many times, but no chocolate tasting! Tried various kinds of delicious mole. Two excellent cooking classes!

What a wonderful trip. Our guide, Valentina, was amazing and the itinerary was a great balance between interesting organized activities and a opportunities to explore on our own. It helped that the rest of my tour group were all wonderful who enjoyed spending time together. It became a group of friends having a blast together very quickly

Like Mexican cuisine? And travel? Look no further. With Eric as our guide (only 2 travelers on this particular trip) we covered a lot of ground, by foot, taxi, and bus. It was the perfect combination of sightseeing and gastronomical goodness. Eric is a chef so he knows his stuff! And ending in Huatulco was wonderful. Warm ocean and great seafood. Just do it!

A great trip to enjoy the cuisine in Mexico City, Puebla and Oaxaca, and learn about Mexican history and culture along the way. Ana was a fantastic trip leader with lots of local knowledge. The cooking classes with Oscar in Oaxaca and Alfredo in Huatulco were particular highlights!

This was generally an enjoyable and worthwhile trip with decent food along the way. Be aware that it is quite fast paced and the time in Oaxaca is a bit short. However, it gives a good introduction to Mexico outside of the standard tourist sights. Paula was a great guide and really helped to make the trip enjoyable.

Don't think about doing this trip, just do it! This tour has been life changing; giving me a rich and colourful introduction to Mexico and the incredible food culture here. It was incredibly well organised, and gave me a really authentic understanding of the complex history and diversity of Mexico. My tour guide Valentina, was fantastic, full of enthusiasm. Plus I had excellent tour group! I will be back to Mexico, and this trip has given me a life-long love of Mole negro! Can't wait to continue to use my knowledge I gained on this trip for my future cooking experiments!
