Experience Overview
Rugged Adriatic Coast, ancient port cities and the sheltered waters of the Bay of Kotor make Montenegro a dreamy place for an eight-day sailing adventure.
Rugged Adriatic Coast, ancient port cities and the sheltered waters of the Bay of Kotor make Montenegro a dreamy place for an eight-day sailing adventure. While neighbouring Croatia has long been a marine travel hotspot, Montenegro remains something of a hidden sailing gem. Spend several days exploring both the popular and the seldom-seen treasures of the Bay of Kotor and the Montenegro Coast. You’ll be lounging in a striped beach chair one day and tucking into fish chorba at a tiny local restaurant in a seaside village the next. This warm weather sailing tour is the ideal way to explore this Balkan beauty.
Highlights
- Sail between towering cliffs and into the fjord-like Bay of Kotor, where ancient mountain hamlets are stuffed with World Heritage-listed villages and sublime beaches.
- Snorkel the clearest water in the Mediterranean and cool off with daily swim stops at secluded coves and bays, whenever it takes the group's fancy.
- Dine on some of the world’s freshest seafood. Grilled, fried and cooked to perfection in tiny waterfront restaurants where recipes have been perfected over generations.
- From the winding walls leading to the Castle of San Giovanni in Kotor to the 15th-century Podmaine Monastery in Budva, this trip will surely delight amateur historians.
- Enjoy a unique optional experience in Montenegro with a local family and sit down to a homecooked, homegrown three-course meal with unlimited wine and homemade grappa.

Montenegro is a beautiful country which still feels like it’s finding it tourism feet and makes the trip a much more unique one. Kotor was a real highlight and got some incredible hiking and swimming done.

A superb sailing trip from start to finish… excellently led by our friendly and knowledgeable Skipper Ante - 5 stars!

Our captain Ante made this such an enjoyable experience. For a week, living was easy, and now I feel completely relaxed. Best parts for me was visiting Njegusi to sample the food and drink, and hanging around in the old town in Herceg Novi.

Hands-down the best trip I've ever had! Special shout-out to our skipper Ognjen - he brought us to the best swimming spots and even organized a sailing race. Truly incredible trip overall. Highly recommended!

The sailing trip was great. Coastal Montenegro is a great destination to visit in a boat. Ante our skipper was very knowledgeable, nice and helpful, with useful tips during the trip at every stop of the way. The group was also great which really made the trip.

Absolutely magical week! If you like Mediterranean food, gorgeous weather and stunning coastlines, this trip is for you. Similar to a Croatia sail with less crowds and cheaper food/drinks. 10/10, highly recommended!

As I said many times on the boat, my vocabulary doesn’t have the range to describe the food, wine and the scenery experienced on this trip. To be able to experience places like Catovica Mlini, Konoba Krstac, Horizont Bar and Kotor is something that will like with me forever

The Montenegro sailing trip was picture perfect, relaxing and fun. Our skipper, Ante, was super approachable and accommodating and added to the experience of the trip. The itinerary was well planned and we made the most of each moment. This trip is more of a boating trip, we got to sail twice, which was super fun and action filled for the group. I would totally recommend this trip for anyone that wants to disconnect with the day-to-day and enjoy the sea.

Croatia is the most beautiful place. The people are so accommodating. The food and local beverages are the best. Travelling by water and meeting new people and working together with others sailing is the icing on the cake.
