Day 1: Moshi

Arrive at any time.

Day 2: Moshi/Simba Camp

Climb up the less-visited northern slopes through varied ecosystems.

Day 3: Simba Camp/Kikelelwa Camp

Continue ascending with superb views of the eastern ice fields.

Day 4: Kikelelwa Camp/Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Ascend through grassy slopes up to an area with majestic views.

Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn Camp/Kibo Camp

Hike slowly through the famous "saddle" between the Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.

Day 6: Kibo Camp/Horombo Camp

Night hike to the Summit via Gillman's Point. Appreciate the beautiful sunrise before descending to Horombo Huts Camp.

Day 7: Horombo Camp/Marangu

Continue the descent through forested lower slopes to Moshi. Meet the mamas of the Moshi Women's Cooperative, a G supported project, for a climbing ceremony.
Continue down through moorland to Mandara Hut (2770m), the first stopping place on the Marangu route. Descend through lovely lush forest on a good path to the National Park gate at Marangu (1879m). Transfer to hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved night in relative comfort.

Time to relax, take a shower, and celebrate with a drink. Cheers to climbing Mt Kilimanjaro! Before dinner, you will be welcomed and congratulated on your climb by the mamas of the Moshi Women's Cooperative, a project supported by G Adventures. They will present you with a gift and a certificate to remember all your efforts on the mountain.

Important Information
Meals

When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. Please let us know if you have any dietary needs or preferences. We willdo our best to accommodate these, though we cannot guarantee that every request can be met.

Luggage

You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout the tour. You will need to carry your own bags between the vehicle and your hotel room. Drivers will assist with loading and unloading luggage from the vehicle.

Fitness Level

This tour requires an Average level of fitness. Activities are paced gently and include leisure time. You may be expected to join guided walks of up to one hour, navigate short stairways and mild inclines, and manage your own luggage. You should also be able to board and exit all transport without assistance.

Travellers are expected to be self-sufficient and capable of handling all aspects of their journey. Please discuss your circumstances and support needs with your booking agent to confirm this trip is suitable.
