In the night breeze of the open sea, witness active Mount Stromboli's spectacular eruptions.

After my last G Adventures trip in 2019 to Jordan I would have answered very positively. This recent trip was my 4th and will be my last. I can only be positive about the terrific guide, Salvo, who was professional, concerned, personable and informative. The fact that I expected accommodation according to the hotels listed at the time of departure from Hawaii to Sicily and they were Substituted, without notification, put me in a predicament as I had booked an extra single room for each of the first 4 nights according to the listed itinerary. The Mediterraneo in Palermo was a disgrace. The curtains were falling off the rail, the drawers had no knobs, the bed was hard, the room was dirty and the breakfast inedible. The following 3 nights I DID stay where it was indicated we should have stayed. Your sense of ?similar? hotels to where I stayed and where the group ended up could not be more dissimilar!! After 4 nights I departed the group extremely disappointed. It is not my nature to advertise poor and shoddy communication, accommodations and service. However, should I be asked about G Adventures I would have to say that pre pandemic I had 3 great trips?.. and then a disastrous one.
