Day 1: Bergen

The hike starts with a steep, rocky climb to the Strandsfossen waterfall, a stunning viewpoint. After that the trail levels out, passing small lakes and offering chances to see wildlife like sheep and horses. Set in the breathtaking location of the Atlantic fjordlands, Odda is an ideal place to take a day off from hiking. For those looking to recharge today, opt to wander the quaint town that lines the coast with its multi-coloured residences or take a rib boat ride on the fjords. For those who are itching to get back out into the wild, take in the views from a bike or kayak, or consider preparing for your Trolltunga Hike by booking the Via Ferrata Sunset/Sunrise Extension for an enchanting night in the Sunrise Dome perched high above Lake Ringedalsvatnet.

When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. This was a well planned and organized trip full of activities that were both classic and off the beaten path. Hiking in a group in this kind of terrain and in the shoulder season weather is much more enjoyable than doing it solo!

I had the time of my life on my trip to Norway. I had the utmost faith in our CEO, Vadim, and he took great care of us. It was amazing having every single thing pre-arranged and taken care of on our behalf. It made the trip stress-free, simple, and allowed us to relax.
