When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout the tour. You will need to carry your own bags between the vehicle and your hotel room. Drivers will assist with loading and unloading luggage from the vehicle.

This tour requires an Average level of fitness. Activities are paced gently and include leisure time. You may be expected to join guided walks of up to one hour, navigate short stairways and mild inclines, and manage your own luggage. You should also be able to board and exit all transport without assistance.

Highly recommend this trip if you enjoy the outdoors! You will see some amazing natural wonders and get to hike some great trails. Also great to do as a solo traveller as you’ll meet like-minded people!

Justin was a fantastic guide, this was my first Intrepid trip and he far exceeded expectations and made it the best trip I have ever been on. If Yosemite and Grand Canyon are on your list. This trip is the way to discover and explore them! Amazing experience with lovely likeminded people. Camped under the stars one night and a quick stop in vegas the next to see the madness there!

I loved this trip! It allowed me to see so many amazing places and do so many things in a relatively short amount of time. You form a great sense of community with the other people on the trip, and it’s a great opportunity to meet likeminded people from different backgrounds to you. The camping element helps form those group bonds because you have to work together as a team. This was my first intrepid trip (/any form of group tour) and I would do it all over again :)

Great itinerary and Ellen was a great guide. Highlights were the days spent hiking at the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. Only choose the trip if you are outdoorsy and can cope with heat. If you dont like camping or hiking, this is not for you!

The tour was really fun and it was a great experience. I was a bit skeptical at first but our tour guide, Chadwick, absolutely hit it out of the park. I have never felt so safe and well taken care of during a guided trip before. I would definitely recommend it. It was a great experience!

The real LA to san francisco trip was so much better than expected, our tour guide Chadwick was so friendly and knowledgable and the national parks were some of the best experiences of my life. I would highly recommend!

The tour was an unbelievable experience and met some amazing people and seeing some unreal places with each place being so unique! The tour guide, Aiden, was excellent and really read the group really well. Would recommend the tour to anyone!

Amazing trip! The tour guide Aiden was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. The itinerary allows you to visit the main places and gives enough time to fully experience them. Would highly recommend this tour and the Intrepid in general.

This trip was fantastic! The format of the trip (communal camping and cooking) created a cohesive atmosphere and as a resultI left the trip with many friends. The national parks were beautiful and the hikes were fun.

The trip itinerary was incredible and I got to see some amazing locations! As a first time camper, intrepid did a good job of making me comfortable and explaining the basics.

Excellent trip if you want to visit all the big famous national parks in western USA. Our tour leader Kate was amazingly knowledgable and friendly and made the whole trip fun and exciting. The van was comfortable with aircon and the accommodation was great. The trip is brilliant value for money.
