Day 1: Mykonos/Cyclades

Arrival day. Join the group at 11am for a welcome meeting and safety briefing before beginning the journey through the Cyclades.
We highly recommend booking pre-tour accommodation in order to have time to explore the island of Mykonos. You may also have time to explore Mykonos island on the last day of the trip.

Day 2-4: Cyclades - Syros/Paros/Folegandros

Spend time in the Greek Isles with your experienced Skipper and a flexible schedule. The coming days will be tailored to meet the desires of the group and weather conditions. Stops might include remote Rinnia island, Paros and Folegandros/ Syros.
Explore the Venetian ruins in Paros.

Walk and hike through the main port and discover the Church of a Hundred Doors.

Hike to the top of the stunning cliffs on Folegandros, overlooking the beautiful village and views over to Santorini and western cyclades

The countryside is filled with vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees while in the spring the scenery is dotted with bursts of colour from blooming flowers. Explore or sit back at a tavernas and enjoy the view while savouring some yummy Greek food. History buffs tend to flock to the North side of Paros to Naousa to see the town’s historic port and Venetian ruins.Activity - Explore one of the must see islands in the Cyclades, Folegandros, and the beautiful city of Hora. The capital which is located up in the hills, boasts a traffic-free main street with plenty of green spaces to explore. Spend some time hiking the trails, taking photos of the classic whitewashed houses decorated with colourful bougainvillea or exploring under the waves while snorkeling.

Day 5: Santorini

While on Ios, relax on famous Magganari Beach and don't forget to visit Homers tomb, or head out on an optional all-day adventure with your fellow yacht-mates.
While a visit to Santorini's main island is not a core part of the sailing itinerary, there may be an opportunity to take a short ferry across from nearby Ios for those especially interested. The skipper will lead a group discussion to assess interest and feasibility.

Opt to hike along the tops of the caldera cliffs, visit the stunning clifftop villages of Fira, Firostefani and Imerovigli, visit the ancient archeological site of Akrotiri, chill out at the colourful beaches – Red Beach, White Beach or the black sand beaches of Perissa and Kamari, visit the local Santorini Vineyards, or enjoy a cocktail at the famous sunset village of Oia.

Day 6-8: Ios/Small Cyclades/Naxos

Spend the next few days enjoying more of the Cyclades. Depending on where the wind will take us, stops might include Ios, the Small Cyclades, and Naxos.
The islands of the Cyclades offer a range of different experiences on each island.

Settle in for a deeper dive into the magical culture of the Cyclades, with a highlight being a two-night stay on the vibrant island of Naxos. Rich in culture, history, and local flavour, Naxos offers something for every traveller, from the sweeping views of Mt Zeus and golden beaches, to the charming artisan shops and some of the best cuisine in the Aegean.

Join the highlight and an unforgettable full-day tour led by a G Adventures approved local guide and ecologist, including a visit to the Temple of Dimitra, a local Microbrewery, Olive Oil press and secret island discoveries. This immersive experience, including transport, is around 70-80EUR, well worth it for the insights and access you'll gain.

With time to also explore Syros or nearby hidden gems of the Small Cyclades, this stretch of the journey balances relaxed island living with rich, meaningful exploration. Take in panoramic views of Mount Zeus where mythical giant stone gods meet nature, before settling in for a delicious meal at a traditional taverna. * Please note: Non-EU drivers will need an International Driving License to rent a car.Activity - Prepare for an immersive educational experience led by the experts at the Naxos Wildlife Protection Association—an established Wildlife Rescue, First Aid Station & G Adventures-supported initiative —providing valuable insights into sea turtle conservation. Day 9: Mykonos

Arrive to Mykonos and opt to visit the local windmills and enjoy a cocktail on a veranda overlooking Little Venice.
The beaches and nightlife add excitement to this picturesque island.

Meals

When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. The sailing was a lot rougher than I expected. I don't think everyone would enjoy that.
