Beginning in Delhi, this Short Break Adventure will take you to Agra, where you can watch the sunrise over the Taj before visiting the sandstone Red Fort and deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. Returning to Delhi, sample spicy curries and bargain at markets to get a feel for the unforgettable culture, colour and character of India.

When meals are not included, your tour leader (where available) will be happy to help with restaurant recommendations, bookings, and directions. You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout the tour. You will need to carry your own bags between the vehicle and your hotel room. Drivers will assist with loading and unloading luggage from the vehicle.

This tour requires an Average level of fitness. Activities are paced gently and include leisure time. You may be expected to join guided walks of up to one hour, navigate short stairways and mild inclines, and manage your own luggage. You should also be able to board and exit all transport without assistance.

The Taj Extension is a great tour for a deep dive into Mughal history. Khurram in Agra was an outstanding guide and I felt safe in the hands of our driver Dhiraj. Highly recommend this tour.

This tour was amazing. We’re we’re travelling as 2 female travellers and felt safe the entire time. Tour guides were excellent and went the extra mile by helping us obtain SIM cards. Accommodation was much nicer than expected. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the Taj Mahal as 3 days for the tour was perfect

This brief excursion provided us with a glimpse into India’s Mughal past. We learned a lot about, not just the history of the people, but the history of the buildings, how they came to exist, and the dramatic context surrounding them. Our tour was efficient, flexible, and accommodating! Great job!

An excellent extension to our longer stay in India. Our driver Raza and guide in Agra, Khurram, were both excellent. Really great opportunity to go to the Taj Muhal and Fatehpur Sikri. Hotel in Agra was excellent too. Would highly recommend.

While a little hesitant at first because of our ages, we found the whole tour experience to be both exhilarating and very informative. We'll definitely be back!

Our 3 days with the Taj Mahal Extension exceeded all expectations. Our local guide Khurram was excellent and knowledgeable and the driver Mostaq was great. Our accomodation was great and everyone made our trip our own and unforgettable!

This extension is well worth the cost based on stories shared from friends. The tour guides, Ahbi for the old Delhi tour and Khureem in Agra, were both amazing. They were extremely knowledgeable, personable and friendly. We chose the sunrise time for the Taj Mahal and were not disappointed. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day trip (Taj Mahal Extension). Tony our guide in Delhi took us on short tour (about 2 hours in New Delhi. Our tour transport to /from Agra was excellent (by private car with a very safe and pleasant driver). Kurram (our guide whom we met at our hotel in Agra) suggested we go to see the back of the Taj Mahal the evening we arrived, this was a wonderful experience. He is also an excellent photographer and we are very grateful for all the wonderful photos he took.

My friend and I explored Delhi and Agra with Intrepid and had an awesome time. The staff were very professional, welcoming and ensured we enjoyed our time as well as safety. I would definitely recommend travelling with Intrepid!

Fun quick trip where I got to experience a lot of fun different aspects of India. The tour guides were great and transportation went really well. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially if traveling alone.
